Cherokee County Health &
Rehabilitation Center (CCHRC) is an organization dedicated to providing
quality long-term care, dementia and rehabilitative services, and
health care education to our residents and to the citizens of
Cherokee County.
CCHRC is currently licensed for 185
skilled nursing home beds by the Alabama Department of Public
Health, and is certified for Medicare and Medicaid admissions, in
addition to private-pay and LTC insurance coverage. The facility currently has
a skilled work-force of over 300.
The facility has an Alzheimer's
Unit, a Rehabilitation Unit, a continuous Oxygen-Dependent Unit, and
High-Risk-for-Accident Unit, in addition to our regular
skilled-nursing areas. When a resident has health-care needs
that can be better served in one of these specialized areas, residents will be transferred to that area of the facility
with a 24-hour notice to the resident and/or sponsor when possible.
CCHRC has a state-of-the-art
multi-media activity / education building which provides a location
for local staff training and in-service. This building also
serves as a community activity building, and is used by numerous
groups and organizations.
